Last session at Amal Academy
I am writing this blog to highlight the memories that I have got from my last session at Amal Academy.
Amal Academy is a Stanford University-funded venture that helps Pakistani youth develop the professional skills needed to achieve their career dreams. After an intense application, a phone interview, and a selection process that includes an activity center and orientation class, I was accepted as one of the selected fellows in batch 168. I had no idea how much I would learn from my experience with the organization in the coming months. Because there was a lockdown in the country and everyone was moving towards the online system.
It helps the students to step out of their comfort zone to do the best for themselves. Halfway through my fellowship, motivational lectures, leadership training, time management tricks, and lessons in risk-taking and humbleness continue to inspire my journey at Amal.
This fellowship was very amazing and life-changing for me, I was a kind of shy and introverted person and at Amal, I meet with a diverse range of people the good thing was all were very positive and they have some goals, we all inspire, uplift and the unforgettable had great fun with each other. It would be a very long story if I started sharing each memory that I have had at Amal, So let’s move towards our last session, which was called Taking flight.
Last session:
Now I would like to describe my last session at Amal, On the day 14th June, I was a bit emotional and my heart was heavy that today is my last session at Amal,
the last session was very amazing because we are doing a lot of fun. And this session was attached with full of emotions. There was a surprise for us in this session.it was the “Scavenger Hunt” in which, we were divided into 2 teams, each team had 25 members every team. We have to find them and post a picture with these items. It was a riddle activity we solve 25 riddles in 30 minutes. This activity was very good and stunning. and we enjoyed ourselves a lot in doing it.
Then 3 of my fellows gave us a very great surprise in which they made a video with funny names of every member, we laughed a lot and enjoyed that lovely moment. They gave me the name of Qatil khatoon…and still, I didn’t know the reason..hahhah..Well, it was a great session full of emotions and love.
